Disney Channel’s actress/singer Selena Gomez assured everyone that they don’t have a rift between Disney co-stars Miley Cyrus. Right now, she’s very busy promoting her debut album.

Selena is super excited to start working on the project. But if the 16 year-old, who stars in “The Wizards of Waverly Place” on the Disney Channel fans, are expecting it to be all about Selena, they are wrong.

Selena is going to a band; she’s not going to be a solo artist. The teen sensation does not want to go single, she said. She is reportedly going to be part of a band for her debut album.

The actress/singer shockingly divulged that she is working on an enjoyable musical project.

The star said that the album will have pop and rock tunes, and she plans to play instruments on some of the album’s tracks.

“I want to make music that is basically of fun and that parent and kids can jump around and have a good time to share” she said. “I will be singing and I’m fast learning drums and electric guitars.

She even wants to take a backseat at times during live performances. “I would like to try it and kind of switch it up,” she said. “When I do the tour and stuff, I would like to do maybe a section on the piano or on guitar or on drums.”

Her refusal to perform alone make some speculations that she is avoiding the same direction as teen star Miley Cyrus who has debuted her solo album “Breakout” last July.

Even though music career is a bit new to her, Selena doesn’t want to imitate someone else’s style. “The Jonas Brothers and people like Demi Lovato are special friends to me and I will not be doing or copy what they did”. These performers are really good. They have each style in performing and they obviously know that, so I’m going to let them have that, she explained. There are still lot of things for me learn and share things to my fans according to Selena.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez is under fire who she is really pointing on her song entitled “I’m Sorry”. “My favorite song that I’ve written is called ‘I’m Sorry,’” the Disney Channel star, who is reportedly dating Nick Jonas of The Jonas Brothers. “It’s about a boy I kind of fell for, but he couldn’t let his ex-girlfriend go, and it was really difficult.”

The autobiographical lines tell the story of consoling her boyfriend to move forward. “The song is basically me saying that I’m sorry that it didn’t work out or that she used to be who she was,” says the Wizards of Waverly Place star. “But you have to let me in and you have to know that I’ll do everything I can to make you happy and be the best I can be.”

This will be the only ballad song in her album. “I want the other stuff to be really fun,” she adds. “But that is probably going to be the most heartfelt one because it was the hardest time for me. That story actually happened to me.”
